Oil on panel, 8×10 inches

Shiny, reflective metal objects can be tricky to paint because they almost lose their form by reflecting the surrounding space. This one was a fun challenge and came out quite well (I think). We use these to ferment kimchi, and there’s something magical that happens any time we open a fresh one.
