Daily painting for September 26, 2015. Oil on board, 5×7.
Many of us have eggs for breakfast almost every day without ever taking notice. If you put an egg down on the counter and really take the time to notice how the light hits it, how it’s reflected off the counter, how the shadow changes as it goes from top to bottom, a whole new world opens up. This is what really excites me about painting. Taking notice of all the detail that exists in everyday objects.
